Former
Buffy the Vampire Slayer stars Sarah Michelle
Gellar and David Boreanaz are both expecting
children. Gellar is pregnant with her first child
with husband Freddie Prinze, Jr., while Boreanaz
is looking forward to baby No. 2 with wife Jamie
Bergman, reports MTV News.
For all
you Twilight lovers who are too young to
remember, Gellar and Boreanaz portrayed the
original star-crossed human/vampire couple on
TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Buffy was chosen
by fate to fight and destroy vampires, but she
fell in love with Angel, a centuries-old vampire
with a soul, cursed by gypsies who declared that
if Angel should find even one moment of perfect
happiness, he would once again turn evil.
Since
Buffy, both actors have moved on to other
projects: 39-year-old Boreanaz is now on the
quirky Fox procedural Bones, while 31-year-old
Gellars has tried her hand at a film career
(her last two endeavors, Suburban Girl and
Possession went straight to DVD) and is set to
star in a new pilot for HBO titled The Wonderful
Maladys.
Did
you hear Buffy the Vampire Slayer herself is
going to have a baby? And Angel is expecting baby
#2? Isnt that awesome?
Not
awesome: The fact that they arent having a
baby together. You know, because Sarah Michelle
Gellar and David Boreanaz arent really
Buffy and Angel, and theyre actually
married to other people. (People, please keep in
mind that Buffy and Angel were the Bella and
Edward of my generation.)
OK,
so in my fantasy world, I am a little bummed that
Buffy and Angel arent actually procreating
together, but things are still awesome, because
Willow (a.k.a. Alyson Hannigan) and Wesley
(Alexis Denisoff) really did have a baby girl
together just a few weeks ago.
So,
with all these Buffy babies coming into the
world, I am hoping that in about 20 years from
now we can have Buffy 2.0, starring the real-life
offspring of the shows original cast. I
mean, thats totally cooler than the
relaunches of Melrose Place and
90210. Those just star some old
people who were on the original show and a bunch
of new kids.
Buffy
2.0 will star Sarah Michelles daughter
(actually we have no idea of her kids
gender, but this is my dream) as new Buffy
and Davids son (he already has a 6-year-old
boy and maybe hell have another) as the new
Angel. Alyson and Alexis daughter is, of
course, the new Willow. And maybe my kids will
watch it. Boy, does life come full circle!
Sarah
Michelle Gellar is reportedly in talks to reprise
her role as Buffy the Vampire Slayer - for a
movie. The 31-year-old actress ended her role as
Buffy in 2003 after a seven-year run. Now the
feisty character could be making a return on the
big screen. An insider says, "There is an
idea for a script and to pick the story up with
Buffy older and maybe even a mother.
"Michelle is busy with movie projects at the
moment but she is excited about the idea. Buffy
still has a huge fan-base so this is a movie that
already has an audience. "Michelle is a
shrewd businesswoman so the chances are this will
happen at some point."
I
apologize I've been lacking on the updates. I've
been super busy with work and school this
semester and have been unable to update. I am in
the process of working on a new layout with all
new content. Keep checking back!
First,
there was Amy Acker (aka Angel's
"Fred"). She guest-starred on Private
Practice's Season 2 premiere (and next can
be seen on Fox's upcoming Dollhouse).
More
recently, you got Alexis
Denisof/"Wesley."
Who
will be the next former denizen of the Buffyverse
to make an appointment with the doctors of
Oceanside Wellness? It's Amber Benson, I can tell
you exclusively.
What
brings Buffy's Tara to Addison's work
digs? Sources tell me she'll be playing a young
woman who in the aftermath of being brutally
attacked seeks not just medical care ... but
perhaps something more.
Benson
appears in this season's 18th episode, which is
tentatively slated for mid-March. Private
Practice, of course, now airs Thursdays at
10, leading out of Grey's Anatomy.
So,
who from BtVS and/or Angel is
left unaccounted for that you long to be reunited
with on the smaller screen? -- Matt Mitovich
Hey
Buffyfans, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas.
We look forward to bringing you the latest in all
things Buffy in the new year! Since I am
currently off on school holidays, I hope to
update this website a bit more. I am also working
on a new forum where Buffyverse fans can
interact. So keep checking back!
I
apologize for the recent lack of updates. I've
been busy with work, school, and burying my head
in "Breaking Dawn", the final book in
the 'Twilight' series which I recommend!
I have
uploaded ALL the season 7 TV spots to our Youtube

COULD THE SUCCESS
OF 'TWILIGHT' BRING BUFFY BACK TO THE BIG SCREEN?
When Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended
its run in 2003, it didn't just fade away.
Sunnydale might have been obliterated, but the
Joss Whedon universe was buzzing with the
possibility of other spinoffs, television films,
and big screen appearances. Over the last five
years, that has become increasingly less likely,
especially in the wake of the popular comic
continuation. So I am sharing the following only
in the interest of keeping up on rumors, not
because I believe it.
According to Moviehole, the Herald-Sun Newspaper
had a small blurb on Buffy, which said:
"Rumours are circulating in Hollywood that
Whedon has a feature-film script based on his hit
TV series ready to roll as soon as a studio is
prepared to commit." While it's entirely
likely that he does have some Buffy scripts
floating around, I'd be wonderfully surprised to
hear that one is all ready. Besides his busyness
with the new television show, there's the comics,
and more specifically -- a storyline that has
continued beyond the show.
Would Joss somehow pull Angel and LA out of hell
and have Buffy round up the Scooby gang? The only
scenario I can imagine would be Buffy bringing
Angel and LA out of hell. It would be epic enough
for the big screen, and be an endeavor that would
bring back all of the cast (except Anya... boo
hiss!). But that's just a dream, and while this
rumor sounds swell and I could go for many more
years of live-action Buffy, I ain't buyin' it.
Are you?

The couple met on the set of Buffy the
Vampire Slayer during the 1999-2000 season

SARAH MICHELLE
GELLAR - RANDALL SLAVIN 2008 PHOTOSHOOT
Actress
Sarah Michelle Gellar is looking hotter than ever
in a new photo shoot for Randall Slavin.
Sarah
Michelle Gellar, aka former star of Buffy the
Vampire Slayer, is 'bringing sexy back' in her
new Randall Slavin photo shoot.
IDLYITW
dishes: I never understood the whole Buffy
thing, but damn if Sarah Michelle Gellar doesn't
look absolutely fantastic in this new Randall
Slavin photoshoot. No clue what it's for exactly,
mostly because I didn't bother to look it up, but
blondes with long legs can pretty much sell
anything. This whole shoot could be for an ad
promoting automatic weapons in pre-K, and I'd at
least read the brochure.
Los
Angeles - Sarah Michelle Gellar is planning a
return to TV.
The blonde beauty - whose
hit show Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended in
2003 - has since starred in movies including The
Grudge and Southland Tales, but has
now landed a role in new TV series The
Wonderful Maladys'.
The
show, written by Charles Randolph, tells the
story of three adult siblings who learn how to
cope after losing their parents at a very young
age.
Gellar
is set to play a character with a "zealous
immaturity - like a drug addict with a to-do
list" according to Randolph, and she will
also reportedly be an executive producer on the
show.
Speaking
about her return to the small screen, Gellar
said: "I can't wait. This will be a terrific
next chapter for me."
The
pilot episode of The Wonderful Maladys
will be shot early next year, according to
Variety magazine.

The twists and
turns of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season
Eight from the battlefield to the
boudoir have kept fans begging for more
and more each month, and the fact that guest
writers on the Eisner Award-winning Dark Horse
series have included heavy hitters like Brian K.
Vaughan (Y: The Last Man,
Runaways) and Drew Goddard
(Alias, Lost) isnt
hurting the cause either.
The big hits keep
on coming, as following the current Fray-fueled
arc written by Buffy creator Joss Whedon,
superstar comics scribe and Heroes
executive producer Jeph Loeb joins the slayer
gang for Decembers Buffy the Vampire
Slayer: Season Eight #20.
The acclaimed
writer was set to executive produce, alongside
Whedon and animator Eric Wight, a proposed Buffy
animated series at the height of the original
shows television popularity. And while Loeb
would still love to resurrect the concept, he has
in the meantime re-teamed with Whedon, regular
Buffy artist Georges Jeanty, and
guest illustrators Ethen
Beavers and Adam
van Wyk (working under the supervision of Wight)
for a one-shot set squarely in the animated
world.
Loeb told CBR
News the purpose of Buffy the Vampire
Slayer: Season Eight #20 is two-fold.
First, to tell a story about how you can go
home again, explained Loeb.
Buffys life in Season Eight and her
life in Season One are totally different, so in
the style of Peggy Sue Got Married
and Pleasantville, she gets a chance
to visit a simpler time, only to find out things
arent so simple.
Added to
that? We wanted a chance to show Buffy fans the
kind of look and tone of the ill-fated
Buffy animated series. Who knows,
maybe well resurrect that lovely
thing!
Loeb teased the
issue would feature all the usual suspects from
Season One like Xander and Willow, and even
Principal Snyder.
Wights
artwork for the book is spectacular,
said Loeb. He worked so hard on this issue.
And Georges [Jeanty] did too. He did the framing
device, which is just the coolest.
Whedon, the
mastermind of Buffyverse, was also involved in
issue #20. Hes the Surgeon
General, laughed Loeb. And I hope he
puts some kind of warning on the side of the box.
Wait, theres no box. Right.
Loeb added that
he has pitched Whedon about taking a second crack
at an animated Buffy. Ive told Joss
the best Buffy stories are ones about
resurrection, explained Loeb. So you
have to believe! Joss just rolled his eyes.
Despite the lack
of cape and tights, Loeb definitely classifies
Buffy as a superhero. In classic hero
fashion, she puts the safety of others before her
own. And shes cute too.
When asked what
else he loves about Buffy, the always understated
Loeb offered, Joss had this stupid idea
that she should be funny, smart and still
thick-headed sometimes a full-rounded
character. Hes a moron.
Someone else in
Loeb household loves Buffy too, his teenage
daughter Audrey a burgeoning writer in her
own right. She and her friends are obsessed
with the show, particularly the Buffy/Angel
romance, said Loeb. Duh.
Jeph Loeb said he
would love to return to the Buffyverse, perhaps
even for the highly anticipated Buffy the
Vampire Slayer: Season Nine. I never
say never, but my schedule is so insane between
being an executive producer and writer on
Heroes and writing Hulk
and two Ultimate books for Marvel, said
Loeb. And yes, those were unabashed
plugs.
Welcome
to the newest Buffy site on the net! The
idea to make a fansite came long ago back in
2003. However, due to unfortunate circumstances,
the site was never created. A brief fansite
entitled "When Darkness Falls: A Buffy
site" was created, but never made it to the
net. Now, I hope to bring you the latest news on
the cast, upcoming Buffy projects, and anything
else to meet your slayer craving needs!
I
unfortunately was not able to get all of the
pages up and running in time for the launch of
this site, but I hope to continue to bring you
updates in the next few days
